Advanced Telemetry, the San Diego-based developer of EcoView energy management system, announced Tuesday that Pannhell Mechanical and Monza Energy Systems will serve as distributors.
The arrangement will help Advanced Telemetry better meet demand for cost-effective, high-impact energy management systems. Demand for EcoView Commercial software has surged along with the number of companies vying to become distributors.
The software boasts the ability to reduce utility bills by as much as 25 percent and deliver a return on investment in as little as six months by manipulating heating ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), electrical and mechanical systems.
One Burger King restaurant in Portland was able to achieve a 13 percent reduction in energy usage due to the software, while another achieved 25 percent.
The program is controlled by a simple wireless touch panel, or web interface, and is completely independent of a utility company. The system helps businesses and homeowners understand and track how they are consuming energy.
The program gives current and historical consumption data and is Web interfaced for remote thermostat control. The software allows for centralized control and sends automated e-mail alerts tracking consumption.
